img_3175The Second Vatican Council presented us with a challenge:

“the full, conscious, and active participation” by all the faithful called for by the nature of liturgy the aim to be achieved before all else their right and duty by reason of baptism. (Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy 14)

The Parish Liturgy Commission exists to foster good worship in the parish on an on-going basis. The major areas of responsibility of the commission are:

  • the liturgical life of the parish as a whole the development of policies which affect liturgy planning and practise for the year and for special occasions the establishment of Liturgy Preparation Groups for the Church seasons and as necessary.

Currently there are two Liturgy Preparation Groups in the parish to plan for and facilitate Sunday Eucharist for the 9.00. and 9.30. Masses. These groups have a combined monthly meeting.
