The Sacrament of Confirmation:
Dates for the current program.
*confirms the life of the Spirit received in Baptism.
*confirms a commitment to be a disciple of Christ.
The Rite of Confirmation for Children is:
*for children in grades 2 or 3 (minimum age 7 years)
*experienced with the parents as primary shareres and teachers in faith of their children, together with parish support
in a program developed by our Diocese of Broken Bay.

The journey consists of:
Stage 1: An enquiry session for parents to deepen their understanding of the Ries of Initiation and to consider the family's readiness to commit to the program at this time.
Stage 2: A time for reflection and gathering of documentation including a copy of the Baptism certificate.
Stage 3: Family registration and Sunday Rite of Welcome.
Stage 4: Four weekly gatherings of parents with their child in small home-based family groups.
During the gatherings, the focus is on: listening to the scriptures;
experiencing the sacramental signs of water, oil, wind and light;
leading to a closer relationship with Christ and parish life.
Stage 5: Celebrating the Sacrament.
A pre-requisit for receiving Confirmation is attendance at all
of the stages as listed here.
