Fr Paul Maloney OSA
Fr Paul Maloney OSA has been the Parish Priest at North Harbour parish since the beginning of 2015. Previously he was based at St Clair running a Retreat Centre. He is originally from Echuca in Victoria and last year he celebrated the 50th anniversary of his Ordination to the Priesthood.
Fr Senan Ward OSA
Fr Senan's ministry as an Augustinian in Australia over the past 40 years has included teaching at St. Augustine's College, work in pastoral care for infectious diseases in the Diocese of Melbourne, Parramatta and Sydney. Currently he serves as Chaplain to St Augustine's College, Brookvale, and assistant Pastor in our parish.
Terri is the principal of St Kieran's primary school. Terri has been at the school for nine years and is committed to nurturing faith in families in partnership with the parish community of North Harbour. Terri is a member of the parish of Our Lady of the Way in North Sydney. As principal Terri has overseen the recent building development at St Kieran's school and the school board.
Fran is the current principal of St Cecilia's Catholic Primary School. Fran commenced at the school in 2015 and is committed to providing faith filled opportunities for families in partnership with the parish community o f North harbour. Fran is an active member of the Lakes parish. Fran has a passion for learning and providing an inclusive, nurturing learning environment in which children can develop to reach their potential.
Larry was baptised at St Kieran's in 2002 after completing the RCIA prgram.He served ith the NSW Police Force for 28 years in both metropolitan and country stations. Whilst his youngest son was at St John's Narraweena, Larry was a member of the P&F including two years as president. Now retired Larry enjoys spending time with the grandchildren.He is a liturgical ministerand along with his wife, Vivienne, is a carechist at Balgowlah North School.
Tim who works in the Internet TV, is a regular member of one of our parish music groups and assists at our Sunday liturgies at St Cecilia's. As the father of a young family, the elder attending St Cecilia's School. Tim is also involved with and has a keen interest in family ministry and activities in the parish.
The Hamer family are long time residents and contributors to community life in the locality and Gai and Brian are regulars at our Sunday Mass at St Cecilia's. Gai brings a vast experience to her role and continues to serve as a state school catechist in the parish. Since joining the PPC last year Gai has served on a sub-committee for Spiritual Renewal.
Since moxing into our area with a young family, Tim and Karen have become involved in both school and parish activities. Tim works with UBS banking in the city and intends to settle long-term in the parish community. He has also served with energy on our parish council Pastoral Plan sub-committee since he joined the PPC in 2013.
Marisa has grown up in our community at St Kieran's and followed in the family's footsteps now working as an accountant. A regular attendee of our Sunday evening Mass she has served as both a reader and more recently a senior server. Elected in 2013 Marisa has worked on our Parish Council as a sub-committee member.
David Lee (Chair)
David and his family have a long association with the area and both parish and school communities through St. Cecilia's. He has been generous with his time in contributing to parish social events, in particular, as MC for our parish Open Mic nights. David has a keen interest in engaging with the younger members of our parish and keen to see the youth and music ministry fostered. He also participates on our liturgy roster at St. Cecilia's. David joined the Council towards the end of 2013.
Evelyn and Rob have been parishioners since 2003 and regularly attend Sunday Mass at St Cecilia's ewith their children Henry and William, both attending St Cecilia's school.
Evelyn coordinates the parish social justice program 'Giving In Faith Together (GIFT). GIFT provides a platform for the local community to be involved in helping our neighbours in need, providing nourishing meals to St Vincent's and the Link Community Food Care Program and, through word of mouth, assisting the clients of Dalwood with items on an as-needs basis.
Evelyn has been involved in the Ministry of Commuynion to the Housebound, Meals on Wheels and is currently on the Childne's Liturgy roster, the St Cecilia's Social Justice Committee and a Catechist helper at Manly Vale Public School.
Living in Australia since January 2015, originally from Brazil, Marcelo and his family arrived first in Perth where he was part of the Eucharistic Ministry at Our Lady of the Mission as Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. When he moved to Sydney his family started attending St. Kieran’s Church. His children, Ana Luiza and Leonardo, are attending St. Kieran’s Primary School. He speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish. Through his work as IT Business Analyst he experienced living in different countries such as Mexico/ USA/ Germany/ Poland/ Hungary and Spain. Marcelo, as member of the Parish Council, works closely with Deacon Francis in different initiatives such as Altaration and Alpha, with Youth Ministry in general.
Anne Halloway (Vice-Chair)
The Halloway family have been in the parish since 1971. After 11 years away Michael and Anne returned in 2013, they mainly attend Saturday evening mass at St.Kieran's. Many years involved with the Paulian Association, Augustinian Formation Association and Anne as Co-Leader of Friends of Augustine when it was first formed.
Andrew Rutherford has been a member of the parish since birth, having attended St Cecilias since Fr Darcy O’Keefe’s time. Andrew & catechist wife Rebecca met through the St Kieran’s youth group (Antioch), were married by Fr Tony Banks and their three children were baptised & completed their sacraments at St Kierans, with all three currently at Catholic high schools. Andrew joined the Parish Council to use his skills to give back to the North Harbour Community.
Janette has an ex official role on the PPC as Family and Sacramental Minister on the parish team. Janette has had a long association with North Harbour Parish and the Augustinian community having taught at St Kieran's School. In her previous role as Diocesan Coordinator Family Life Ministries she has worked with many parish ministries in our parish. Janette is married to Stephen, has two children and three grand children and is a member of Frenchs Forest Parish.
